The detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department of Railway Command of the Nigeria Police who arrested him said, he also shaved the little girl’s eyebrows.

At the Lagos chief magistrate’s court sitting in Ebute-Metta, the police prosecutor Moses Uadevmbo argued that bail should be denied for the accused due to the degree of the offence and the age of the victim. However, Counsel to the defendant, Alli Aba, urged the court to grant the defendant bail.

However, Inspector Uadevmbo opposed the oral bail application filed by the defence counsel, telling the court that in granting the defendant bail, the age of the victim must be considered and the prevalence of such cases in the state. He said that if the defendant was granted bail, he might interfere with the complainants as this may jeopardize the case, urging the court to refuse the bail application.

Magistrate A. Demi-Ajayi ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the matter till September 24, when the court will rule on the bail application.
