Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has sacked the chairman of the interim management committee of Kaduna south local government, Yahaya Shinko.
Special assistant to El-Rufai on media and publicity, Samuel Aruwan made the disclosure on Tuesday, saying the sack was with immediate effect.
“The Kaduna state government has announced the interdiction of the chairman interim management committee of Kaduna south local government, Alhaji Yahaya Ibrahim Shinko, with immediate effect,” Aruwan said.
According to Aruwan, the sacked chairman has been directed to hand over the affairs of the council to the vice-chairman of the interim management committee.
Two other members of the local council also faced the music.
The affected staff are Ya’u Nalado Makarfi, Deputy Director, Revenue, and Nalado T. Auwal, an accountant.
No reason was given for the removal of the interim chairman.
On March 30, Shinko was appointed alongside 22 others.
