Emmanuel Emenike, attacking striker, has announced his retirement from international football.
Emenike announced on Monday night via his Instagram page, his decision to retire from the Super Eagles.
His retirement is coming less than two weeks after former captain, Vincent Enyeama, quit the national team, after a fracas with team coach, Sunday Oliseh.
While writing his reason for leaving the team, Emenike apologised to Nigerians for failing to rediscover his goal-scoring form for the Super Eagles.
