FG to make it easy to do business in Nigeria – Here’s how

President Muhammadu Buhari has given the green light for the formation of a Presidential Commission on the ease of doing business in Nigeria, says Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

According to a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to Vice President, Laolu Akande, the VP made the disclosure on Friday while presiding at a Quarterly Consultation between the presidency and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).

Osinbajo was quoted to have said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a high-powered commission to work on the issues around the ease of doing business in the country.”

“The commission will have a secretariat to be headed by a private sector professional, who will be appointed to lead the secretariat of the presidential commission that will now pay even greater attention and focus to the issues of doing business in the country.”

MAN, on its part, raised concerns about cases of multiple taxation to which Osinbajo promised to follow up on the matter.

“One of the key issues the presidential commission which I am heading would be looking at is the case of multiple taxation”, the VP said.
