HoodStarz talent show set to make its debut

HoodStarz, a new music/talent appreciation show for the unsigned and underground artistes, is set to make its debut. The show which is mainly for unknown acts will be an avenue for the entertainment industry movers to appreciate the numerous budding talents and also discover exceptional talents of the underground artiste.

The show which will be a monthly event will see unsigned upcoming artiste perform their recorded songs in front of their fans, industry professionals and selected judges, who will also select the best performance at the end of every episode of the event.

According to the organiser of the show, Culbeed Media CEO, Mr Kolade Ajayi
(Ronkay), “Hoodstarz is born out of a need to give voice to the numerous
underground and upcoming acts in our music industry. They are often neglected and majority of them are diamonds in the rough and talents that the world has never seen.”

He further revealed that Hoodstarz is supported by Jimmy Jatt INC, Nigezie and other media outfits. The winner of each episode of the show will have an opportunity to perform on DJ Jimmy Jatt’s Jimmy Jump Off.

The first edition of Hoodstarz will hold at Octopus Lounge, Yaba on Tuesday 28 February 2012. Artistes can register FREE at culbeed media office at 10, College Road, Ogba, Lagos.
