How the Twitter VN trend turned into a war between iPhone and Android users

The war between iPhone and Android users is one that seems to have started just a few years back. As technology improves, the demand for smoother and seamless ways of being ‘in the know’ will always be a thing of huge importance.

On the micro-blogging platform, Twitter VN (VN- Voice Note), is trending and what was suppose to be a harmless announcement has turned into a war between iPhone and Android users that use the app for staying updated and communicating.

The voice note feature allows users to send in their tweets using their voice on the timeline of all their followers and list. However, as it appears, the update has only been rolled out to iPhone users and Android users are not having it with the recent development.

iPhone users have been known to always place themselves as superior to other brands and this is partly because of the hype that surrounds the Apple product. However, some Android loyalists like Nigerian DJ Neptune, have shared that this update will not sway him to buying an iPhone.

Some Twitter users also stressed that the feature is not available to every iOS user, however, the fact that the tech company has rolled out this feature first on iPhone should make Android users reconsider joining the ‘Apple gang.’

The Twitter VN also accommodated some reservations as to what the disadvantages of having voices of people all clogged up on the timeline, as these ones shared that the feature should have been limited to the messaging feature of the app.

Other users shared that some people would use the feature for things that do not matter as they shared that unnecessary voice notes will begin to flood their timelines. However, this feature is still being tested and a lot of changes will come after it has been successfully rolled out.
