Troops stationed at the University of Maiduguri on Sunday killed a suicide bomber attempting to infiltrate the institution’s works department.
According to The Punch, the suicide bomber reportedly gained entry into the University through the back gate with the aim of penetrating the school before being gunned down by a vigilant soldier.
The Public relations officer of the school, Mr Tanko Ahmed who confirmed the incident said it occurred around 11pm Sunday night.

He said the works department where the incident occurred have been cordoned off by security agents to render the area safe.
” The area have been cordoned off by security agents.”
