It recently came to fore, that pupils of the Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo private boarding school, in Kano, were being molested sexually.
The sodomy case became public knowledge when a 9-year-old pupil of the college revealed that he was defiled by unknown persons.
Due to the supposed rampancy of sodomy in the private boarding school, Acting Governor of Kano state, Professor Hafiz Abubakar, has directed the Private and voluntary schools Board to close down Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo boys college with immediate effect.
He has also constituted 14 man committee to investigate the allegations of sodomy and sexual molestation in Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo school.
The 14-man committee, which is headed by Prof Abubakar Mustapha, is expected to submit its report within 2 weeks.
