The Katsina State House of Assembly on Wednesday impeached its Speaker Aliyu Sabiu Muduru.

Muduru received a vote of no confidence from twenty-three out of thirty-four members.

Following Muduru’s impeachment, the lawmakers chose Yahaya Kusada as its new Speaker.
