Knee injury forces Serena Williams to pull out of Indian Wells

Serena Williams, a 19 time grand slam champion has withdrawn from the India Open Wells championship due to a knee Injury she pulled during practice two days ago.
 “A couple of days ago in my practice I just really injured my knee and I fought through it and I kept playing. Today I was struggling just to even walk.”
In 2001, Serena and her sister, Venus, were scheduled to play each other in the Indian Wells semifinals when Venus withdrew prior to the match.
The crowd booed, and then booed Serena some more in the final, which she eventually won.
Since then, she has boycotted the Indian Open, but her return was met with a loud ovation.
If not for the knee injury, Serena may have gone on to clinch her third trophy in the desert, but she has however promised to return next year.
