Students of Issle-Oyo community high school on Thursday set some classrooms ablaze over mass failure, Punch reports.
It was gathered that the students arrived the school chanting solidarity songs, before setting fire on some classrooms.
It was also learnt that it took the efforts of Oyo State Fire Service to put out the fire.
Some form of protests were also recorded in various schools in the state over mass failure in their examinations.
It was reported that students of Anglican Secondary School, Oyo destroyed billboards with governorAjimobi’s photographs.
The mass failure was however linked to the new promotion policy in the state, which requires a student to score at least 50% in both English and Mathematics.
