How is Melania Trump’s cyber-bullying campaign doing these modern day presidential times?

Donald Trump has gone and told another unnecessary lie. He claims his use of social media is modern day presidential – prompting us here to respond the only way we knew how – with all the loud laughter in the world.

Truth is that the only thing modern-day (jury’s still out on “presidential”) about Donald Trump’s use of social media is the resemblance it bears to cyber-bullying.

Thanks, Jake Tapper! How is Melania Trump‘s campaign against cyber-bullying working out now that her husband has decided to not only renew his monopoly on misogynistic pettiness, but also to reach beneath his own already carpet-level standards to indulge in amateur video edits in order to score cheap points (although, we think Alex Jones probably texted him that video)?

At some point, Politico reported that “people in Trump’s orbit said, the first lady… generally tries to advise him [Donald] toward restraint [in his damaging use of Twitter] and she is occasionally successful. It made sense at the time because Melania had publicly committed herself, during the campaign, to the repression of cyber-bullying.

In an interview with Anderson Cooper, Melania pledged:

My passion is the same: helping children and helping women. And also, I see now in 21st century, the social media, it’s very damaging for the children. We need to guide them and teach them about social media, because I see a lot of negativity on it, and we need to help them. It has some positive effects as well, because this is the life that we live in now. But has a lot of negativity as well. And I see more and more children being hurt by it . . . A lot of bullying.

This was all before her final move to Washington to live in the White House. Long before she and her big man-boy finally inherited the White House; when the release of the Access Hollywood tape threatened to ruin all their chances of her grabbing America by the jugular.

Since the win however, Donald has only got worse with his sickening tweets. Can Melania no longer manage the cyber-bullying happening under her own roof?

Oh, wait! We know what happened!

Melania has since cast aside her plans to deal with cyber-bullying.  When he last asked about it, Trump’s press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, said the anti-cyber bullying effort is still a work in progress.

“Mrs. Trump is being very thoughtful when it comes to building out her initiatives,” Grisham said in an email. Also, her staff now numbers 10, and she’s taking her time hiring because she values “quality over quantity”, she said.

In fact, that resolve to fight against cyber-bullying may have found its way to the trash bin while being tucked in as “one subset of her focus around the overall wellness of children”.

And it all makes sense. It would have just been a laugh fest all around the world with Trump being one of the biggest cyber bullies while his wife claimed to campaign against the modern day evil.

It may even explain why she often appears mad at him in public.
