Nigeria – We have to find a way to #BringBackOurGirls (Poetry)

I heard they are sharing money in Ghana-Must-go. Please tell me, is that the way to go?. Over 200 hundred girls missing under our own nose. And still they have a reason to break bread and share I-Phones.

They don’t leave the lights on anymore
Like they don’t want us to watch the T.V screen no more
They Got us searching for fresh air
Even on the dock

Like searching for needle in sacks of hay stacks on all fours.
We gotta find a way.
Like Jordan shooting through space and time in ’93
Without looking down.
Like a raging bull fighting all obstacles
Just to make it though a red sheet.
Knowledge is light.
but how do we find knowledge without lights.
We are left in darkness

Like they want our eyes and skin to have the same shade
…Bombing one another,
is that the next phase?
They say they are fighting for a course
And they cant say it to our face.
We gotta find a way
to emancipate ourselves from this hate.

I heard they are sharing money in Ghana-Must-go
Please tell me, is that the way to go?
Over 200 hundred girls missing under our own nose
And still they have a reason to break bread and share I-Phones.
They waited for the people outside to tell them how to build their home, our home.

We gotta find a way.
The road is already laid, it wouldn’t find us.

Bring back our girls,
We gotta find a way because they are our future.
