For the most powerful man in the world, President Barack Obama, playing a competitive game of basketball with a group of selected friends while waiting for results of any major election he’s involved is a personal ritual he’s known for, but for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), walking several kilometers in his hometown in Daura, Katsina, is his choice of exercise.
After casting his vote in the presence of a throng of passionate supporters in his hometown and getting a situation reports all around the country, the leading contender in the keenly contested presidential elections took time off his marathon itinerary to enjoy the Katsina sunset flanked by his aides.
The 72-year-old appeared to be in high spirits as he chatted with people around him and walked sprightly into the night.
