Nigerian troops have reportedly captured and de-radicalised over 200 Boko Haram insurgents in Adamawa.
According to the Department of Civil Military Affairs at the Army Headquarters, the figure is a cumulative of the total number of insurgents captured since November 2014.
Brigadier-General Mubi, V O Ezugwu, Commander, 28 Task Force Brigade, revealed this at the opening of a two-day sensitisation programme on de-radicalization held in Mubi, Adamawa.
“This Brigade has rescued and de-radicalised over 200 Boko Haram insurgents from November 2014 to date.
“And the beneficiaries of this programme numbers in terms of thousands.”
