The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Saturday said it has arrested one Mohammed Usman, parading himself as an army General in Minna, Niger State.
Commandant of NSCDC in the state, Commander Philip Ayuba disclosed this while presenting the suspect to newsmen.
He said Mohammed also known as General Ishiaku was fond of defrauding people, claiming he can help them secure job in the military.
He explained that the suspect was arrested after he had concluded plan to collect a balance of N450,000 bargained for a job in NSCDC.
Ayuba said his accomplice Abubakar Ibrahim was on the run.
“The suspected fake army General you are seeing specialises in defrauding unemployed applicants by promising them job in either the military or paramilitary outfits in the country,’’ Ayuba said.
