The leader of the Citizens United for Peace and Stability, Bunmi Awoyemi, who convened the protest at the National Assembly tagged #OcuppyNASS has called off the protest.
Awoyemi, while speaking during a press conference, revealed that the protest would be discontinued on the evening of Thursday, April 29.
Speaking further on the purpose of the protest, Awoyemi told newsmen that CUPS was not against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, but advocating against corruption in the entire National Assembly.
He also revealed that contrary to reports that the protest was sponsored by All Progressive Congress leader, Bola Tinubu, well meaning Nigerians actually donated towards the success of the movement.
He however, declined to make public the accounting books of CUPS.
