Talking about the ill plan of Mr Reno Omokri Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Social Media to framed the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, it is only safe to say that it is nothing when compared with what his oga at the top did during the nation golden jubilee celebration when he tried to exonerate MEND from the October 1 bombings.

One of the serious effect of having corrupt leaders at the helm of the nation’s affairs is not about the looting of the treasury or bringing the country’s economy to comatose, but the fear that younger generation might see corruption as a normal thing that one should engage in and this indeed calls for a lot of worry.

Charity they say begins at home and as it is is known and believed, it is not expected from a child that grows up under the supervisor of irresponsible parents to be good citizens, rather it will be like father like son. It will be very vital for each and of every one of us to have that at the back of his mind.

The sad part of the two scenarios was that they both happened during the country’s celebration in the eyes of global leaders. Only Gods knows how our visitors see our leaders that politicize everything including the life and security of their citizen to get sympathy or mostly cheap political gain.

Despite the said information given to Nigerian security agencies by their British counterpart about the possibilities of the 1st October attack which was believe to be the reason why Mr Godwin Brown and Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester canceled their trip to Nigeria to attend the nation golden jubilee and the warning given by MEND to some media house an hour before the explosion of the first ever twin car bomb blast in Nigeria which MEND claim responsibility, our busy for nothing top security operatives did nothing significant to abort the evil plan of MEND which resulted in the killing of innocent souls and injured many that were happy that Nigeria reached 50 years of independence.

The first sign of gross incompetence and bigotry shown by Mr President was in his address at the event which was organized to celebrate Nigeria’s Golden jubilee as well as the anniversary of some other African countries that same year. The president said: “We know the persons behind the terrorist attacks on the nation. We know they used an organization that operates in the Niger Delta called MEND as a front, but we are aware that MEND is not a terrorist organization.”

After innocent souls were killed and many were injured, the number one citizen of the country was exonerating the perpetrators of an evil act claiming that they are not terrorist simply because they are from the same geopolitical zone with him. Unfortunately the person that was arrested with the intention to frame him and his then political boss was from Edo state, one of the state that make up south- south, but the big question is what why did they fall out of one another or with the people of the Niger Delta?? Is it because of his association with the then opponents of the president? And who are known terrorists that Mr president claims to know that they are the one that hide under MEND to commit such a heinous crime against our country that the country’s president doesn’t see them as his people? Or does what happen between 1st-3rd october 2010 escaped the memories of Nigerians?

Even though they said that it is typical of Nigerians to forget events and happennings easily, but it is good for them to be aware that Baba Tunde Ojo-Olubiyo said that “Complexities of life caused by bad government administration, corrupt leadership style, parental abuse and mistakes can make a Child more matured than his age”. So the memory of what Mr president did to his political opponent by framing them as terrorist is still fresh in memories of Nigerians. Therefore nobody was shocked by the handwork of Reno Omokri who hid under the alibi of Wendell Simlin to perpetuate his evil schemes of framing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the sponsor of Boko Haram.

Bird of the same feather they say flock together. At least Mr Reno Omikri was even little smarter than his oga at the top for having the thought to hide under pseudonym of Wendell simlin.

My sincere advise to this government and their agents is that they must work together in a seamless fusion to address a number of challenges confronting us as a nation more especially insecurity. Their position must reflect sound judgment based on exploration of the facts on ground rather than trying to make a political gain out of every scenario. May God continue to save us, Ameen.
