PDP leaders pay solidarity visit to Fani-Kayode, others in EFCC custody

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee and some top member of the party on Wednesday visited prominent Nigerians who are in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for varying corrupt practices.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, Former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, ex-Presidential aide, Reuben Abati and ex-FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed are some of the prominent PDP members in the commission’s custody.

It was gathered that the delegation led by Ahmed Makarfi, factional National Chairman of the party arrived the EFCC custody at 2:30pm.

Other members of the delegation included the PDP National Secretary, Senator Ben Obi; the National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the National Organising Secretary, Senator Abdul Ningi; a former Special Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Akin Osuntokun; cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Robert Azibaola, Senator Ughesi and Hajiya Binta Kuraye.

According to sources, the delegates assured the suspects their unflinching support and expressed delight at their strength despite the challenges.

Recall that some senators had also visited the former ministers on Tuesday to show their support.
