Just on the heels of the super successful Aso Villa Demo Day, the Presidency has announced another initiative focused on youth; this time, the creative youth.

The Conversation

While the Aso Villa Demo Day sort of focused on the Technology sector more than anything else, ‘The Conversation’ seeks to pick the brains of the teeming creative bunch scattered all around Nigeria.

The official website for the event says “The Conversation” is a youth-based platform designed to redefine the way Nigerian youths are engaged with a clear objective of creating a cadre of youth leaders who are prepared and committed to becoming the catalysts for change in their communities. At “The Conversation”, a select youth representation will have direct interaction with the government with a view to communicating their various efforts at driving the change agenda, stating the opportunities they’ve come across as well as the challenges.

The ‘select’ youth representation for the 2016 includes documentary photographer, Tom Saater; art curator, Denrele Sonariwo; multimedia journalist and poet, Wana Udobang; music producer Michael Ajereh (Don Jazzy); actor, Ali Nuhu; and entrepreneur, Lara Lape Cameron-Cole. Definitely a formidable team.

So it appears the Presidency is eager to pick every brain on offer in order achieve it’s Change agenda. We Like!

As long as the outcomes are actually put to good use for the benefit of every last citizen.
