Rafa Benitez sacked by Real Madrid

Rafa Benitez, former Liverpool and Chelsea manager, has been sacked as coach of Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

The Spaniard was sacked on Monday after being held to a 2-2 draw by Gary Neville-led Valencia on Sunday.

Benitez was only appointed in June 2015 on a three-year deal, succeeding Carlo Ancelotti in the Bernabeu hotseat.

French football legend, Zinedine Zidane is expected to take over from Benitez.

Before Benitez’ sack, Zidane was the coach of Real Madrid’s second team, Castilla.
