The search for the two missing persons aboard the Bristow helicopter, has resumed this morning, August 13.
The helicopter, which was carrying 12 passengers, took off from an oil rig station in the Niger Delta, and was heading to Lagos, when it plunged into the lagoon on Wednesday, August 12.
The National Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, marine police, naval officers and local divers have been searching the lagoon for the missing victims since 8am.
An official of LASEMA, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said;
“We just came back from another round of search now. The wreckage has been located in the middle of the lagoon. But it has sunk deep. We are intensifying our efforts to evacuate the missing persons. For now, we only saw the tail of the helicopter.”
