The Enugu State House of Assembly has formally commenced impeachment proceedings against the Deputy Governor, Sunday Onyebuchi.

This was made known in a meeting  that lasted less than an hour, in an assembly presided over by Speaker, Eugene Odoh, who accepted the notice of impeachment against the  Deputy Governor.

22 out of the 24 members of the house signed a six-page document sponsored by the house leader, Udeh Okoye.

Onyebuchi who was at the House sitting did not oppose the notice.
