Sunday, for many started on a bright note especially as it marked for a good number, the last day for online services in anticipation of physical worship in their various churches in 7 days. This was however not the case for the family and loved ones of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Founder and Senior Pastor in Charge of Trinity House, Lagos.
News about the death of former Beauty Queen (Miss Lux) and wife to the Pastor, Ibidun Ighodalo hit social media early Sunday and a lot of Nigerians have taken to social media expressing shock as well as condolences to the family of the cleric.
Although official detail is yet to emerge on the cause of her death, there are indications that she may have died of a heart attack in her sleep in the early hours of Sunday in the Rivers State capital where she was said to have been helping with the building of isolation centres for COVID-19 patients for residents of the state and Bayelsa.
“The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter Mrs. Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo who passed away in the early hours of today,” the statement announcing her demise as released by her family read.
“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some privacy during this time. All information of burial proceedings will be provided in due course,” it added.
Ibidun Ighodalo is dead. Cardiac Arrest at 39. Such a humble woman who was doing the lord's work with her Ibidun Ighodalo Foundation. This woman had IVF 11 times before she finally adopted her kids.
May she rest in peace.

For many, 39-year-old Ibidun who also pastored at Trinity House with her husband touched the lives of many through non-profit organisation, known as Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, birthing and restoring hope through assistance in funding IVF cycles for families in need of them.
I can't believe this beautiful soul is gone?
This woman is the reason many couples heard the cries of babies in their homes through her foundation.

For others who didn’t have a personal relationship with her, they expressed admiration about spirit of sacrifice and philanthropy, the courage to share ‘her fertility story,’ and the aura she exuded.

I get very anxious and concerned about two topics, motherhood and mental health.
I always looked up to Ibidun Ighodalo-Ituah on the whole motherhood journey, and now, she's gone.

I didn't know Ibudun Ighodalo on a personal space but I knew about her infertility journey and how she had 11 failed IVFs. This woman got a point where she was able to tell her story without holding back and adopted 2 lovely kids.

To not know a person yet, feel them, feel their goodness and kindness. I remember watching Tomike's wedding video and how everyone cried because Ibidun Ighodalo came when she was meant to be on a journey. That was something. I pray strenght for the families involved .

Video clips from Instagram have also shown that her husband officiated the funeral service of 25-year-old Ayodeji Modupe-Johnson, Sunday afternoon where he confirmed that he received a call informing him of her demise at 2:00am.
Just finished watched Ituah Ighodalo conduct a funeral service live. During the sermon, he said he received a call at 2am this morning that shattered his life. I can’t even believe this. RIP Ibidun Ighodalo.

The late Pastor Ibidun was to mark her 40th birthday on July 19. Passionate about Family and Women Development, she did a lot to bring emotional healing to hurting women and families through the teaching of God’s word, and was also at the forefront of giving hope to families waiting on God for the fruit of the womb, with the belief that parenting doesn’t have to be only via natural conception.
May God comfort her family and loved ones.
