Stop chasing after perfection | The Daily Vulnerable

The Daily Vulnerable

One of the reasons I got reluctant at some point about preaching in Churches is that people presumed that since I was preaching, I was perfect. I used to explain that I am not on the pulpit because I am perfect, I’m precisely on the pulpit because I am deeply imperfect.

I do not need or desire to be perfect. It is too unrealistic a goal to set for oneself. It is too wicked a perception to present to other people. We have to let people know that imperfection is the name of the game.

Imperfect as you are, you are valid.

You can do better by yourself by improving, by correcting, by holding yourself accountable, but not by chasing after perfection.
