30 year old Glory Ojuala stood at the Customary Court in Ejigbo Lagos State on Monday, October 28 to recount how her husband, Alex Ojuala had maltreated her just after she gave birth to their third child.

The nursing mother said Alex had drugged her for three days straight so he could have sex with her even though she was still in recovery. According to reports she subsequently filed a petition for her 15-year marriage to be dissolved siting more issues of neglect and witchcraft.

There was a lot of back and forth during the court hearing with accusations of infidelity and voodoo charms being tossed around by both husband and wife.

Nigerian Eye reports that Glory accused her husband of cutting the family’s daily feeding allowance to N100 to punish her for refusing to have sex. She also said he drugged her drink while she was eating and woke up in hospital three days later. Alex apparently admitted to drugging her for sex but insisted he takes care of his family providing them with N200 daily.

Reports claim in the end, he also gave up on the relationship saying he was no longer interested and asked the court to dissolve the marriage while pledging to provide N10, 000 for the upkeep and education of the children.

The case under the rule of T. A. Eko was adjourned till March 2014.
