Gunmen abduct prominent Muslim cleric in Sokoto

Gunmen have abducted a prominent Muslim cleric in Sokoto, according to the BBC Hausa service. The cleric Sheikh Muhammad Lawal Madoki, was seized late last night by the unknown gunmen. The motive for the abduction is unclear.
