Unknown gunmen have killed 30 miners in Zamfara, The Cable reports. The incident occurred on Monday night when the miners were ambushed at a mine location situated in Bindim, a community in Maru local government area of the state.
The Nigerian Army on Wednesday raided kidnappers in Zamfara and Kaduna. This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman.
