2 young men have been arrested and arraigned in Lagos after they were accused of being cultists.
Segun Adebayo and Azeez Tondunmo, both 21 years of age, were said to have shot a student, Josiah Egwedo in the mouth with a rifle.
They stand charged of conspiracy, murder and belonging to an unlawful society and have been remanded in prison on the orders of a Magistrate court sitting in Ebute Metta.

The Magistrate, Miss Y.J. Badejo-Okusanya, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody pending an advice from the Office of the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions.
However, the court did not take the pleas of the accused and the case was adjourned till June 25, for mention
The prosecutor, Cpl. Cyriacus Osuji, told the court that the accused committed the offences on April 5 at about 8:30pm at Igbodile Imokun in Epe, near Lagos.
He said the deceased, one Josiah Egwedo, and the accused were students of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education in Epe.
Osuji said that the accused belonged to an unlawful society known as “Supermost Eiye Confraternity.”
“Egwedo went out to buy noodles and on his way back home was accosted by the accused. The accused ordered Egwedo to kneel down and open his mouth and shot him with a locally made gun,” the prosecutor said.
