For speaking out against making crime glamourous, Falz has more or less become a by-word. Not surprising, this backlash. Eldee wasn’t spared when he dared to speak out against Amber Rose’s slut walk, either. Twitter NG flung receipts about like confetti, Nigerians reminded him of his double speak, practically everyone descended on him without restraint.
But Falz is not Eldee and their talking points are dissimilar. Falz’s concern is that fellow artistes should stop making Evans and his ilk a thing to aspire to. Hear him speak:
Falz tells his colleagues, stop hailing fraudsters with your music, it is killing our future

Falz vs 9ice
Falz talk him own. 9ice talk him own. But the issue is BIGGER than these 2 talented artistes. The deeper issue is US, yes, YOU and ME.

Stupid is as stupid says
A yahoo boy with sleepless nights, buys a laptop and pays for data steady and you're saying he started yahoo because it's an easy way out?
— KING MULLA (@TheZinoMulla) June 23, 2017
Exactly my point since latide .. why na only fraud the guy dey address ? Just be selecting evils ..falz the good guy
— Jürgen Aüss Windcaller (@austinekele) June 23, 2017
Like Yahoo, Like Pablo Ayodeji
Falz, Davido and Dele Momodu’s beef
Falz wants to talk about morality and decency in art, but Davido insulted his elder, Dele Momodu, right on his own song.

What Falz did not say
The funny thing is, all Falz said was "Don't glorify fraudulent activities"…he didn't say "Don't do yahoo yahoo".
— Uche Daniel (@UcheDandyMUFC) June 23, 2017
Falz didn't say dont do yahoo falz said stop hyping them so the young one's coming up wont think thats the only way to success.
— MONSTERAmongstMEN? (@Stickz_jonez) June 23, 2017
Out of order
"Falz cannot say people should stop glorifying crime because Davido insulted his elder on his song". pic.twitter.com/rwatPEfRx1
— Big Daddy Gersh (@__gershom) June 22, 2017
Some Nigerians are legit saying Falz has no right condemning the glorification of fraud, because he "promotes bad English"?
? Don't get it!— Maro Aganbi (@Maro_A) June 23, 2017
Davido yabbing Dele Momodu on Falz' song & 419 are not the same thing. The former is disrespect at best and that is a moral issue

As Falz advised, instead of taking to yahoo, you can learn web and software development from us and develop a platform like Yahoo, Facebook

Falz is one bold young man. The educated will always differ from the uneducated. Only illiterates would slander him over what he said.
— World Publicist (@IsimaOdeh) June 22, 2017
Falz isn't "coming" for anyone. He made a valid point about how hailing thieves sets a wrong impression. But as usual we kill the messenger
— Emmanuel Ihim (@EmmanuelIhim) June 22, 2017
Falz did not seem to talk about 9ice specifically. Just as you can't be literal about his comedic accent, you can't be about any art form. 1
— Funmi Iyanda (@Funmilola) June 23, 2017
Falz spoke the absolute truth…only people who indulge in illegal activities will publicly come out to bash him.
— Uche Daniel (@UcheDandyMUFC) June 22, 2017
Falz said what he said and its all facts, whichever way you wanna look at it it's all 100% fact

If you don't see anything wrong with praising yahoo boys but find fault in Falz's comments aren't you a little like the free Evans people?

Karma is strolling in your direction
Lol…this Falz issue, the only thing I go say is May you and your parents be scammed if you support yahoo yahoo
— Winnie (@WitWinnie) June 23, 2017
Last I checked, 'yahoo yahoo' was still stealing, there's nothing cool about it, so if you slander Falz for discouraging it, check urself.

Nigerians are not ready
I cannot believe that Falz is getting dragged for saying people should stop hailing fraudsters. Is everything okay in Nigeria?

Falz: stop supporting internet fraudsters

Evans the kidnapper is being celebrated.
Falz who condemned celebration of fraud is being condemned.
But we are the future of this country? pic.twitter.com/rEjgaMQEyE— Babanla (@biolakazeem) June 23, 2017
So Falz is getting flack for what he said about hailing fraudsters & crooks in songs?
Nigerians are NOT ready for the change they crave ?
— ? DaddyMo PhD CEng ? (@officialdaddymo) June 22, 2017
The same people who say we should 'empathise' with Dammy Krane, are the very same criticising Falz. Nigerians are far from ready.
