In the last last few days the media has been awash over the invitation of Nigerian male barbie Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky to a New Media event.
His invitation sparked controversy as several other speakers pulled out of the event.
Amongst those who pulled out were the special assistant to the President on New Media Bashir Ahmaad, and Subomi Plumptre of Alder Consulting.
But one of the speakers at the event Editi Effiong in a series of tweets on Saturday believes the matter should have been better handled saying “Bobrisky speaks like Jesus”.

I'm a Christian. Everything I do, I try to pass through a filter – what would Jesus do? What would Jesus do if he met #Bobrisky?

My friend, @subomiplumptre said "Don't judge someone because they sin differently than you". Agreed, because we're examples of imperfection pic.twitter.com/TWx4WoKKgb

But I also disagree with her/Alder's methods regarding the entire episode. A nuanced approach saves us from becoming unfairly judgemental.

Jesus said we should love everyone – Bobrisky says same. I don't know, but it sounds like Bobrisky speaks like Jesus pic.twitter.com/1Ttzkjks6H
