Entrepreneur and social media influencer, Japheth Omojuwa has been part of the crew leading the charge to #EndSARS on Twitter but that initiative almost got hijacked after he tweeted this:
Netizens got very upset with Mr Omojuwa’s insinuation that they were posting “fabricated stories” and reacted in the heat of the moment.
@ProfOsinbajo asking @Omojuwa to speak on #ENDSARS is like a boss asking his sales boy to appraise him in his presence.
If he’s serious about this & the fear of God is in him, l challenge him to pick 100 victims and meet with them.
Nigerians are not falling for lies anymore!!! pic.twitter.com/Onf5ZICyHd

Omojuwa later apologised for his error and all was settled – or so we thought.
Apparently, insinuating that SOME of the SARS stories are fabricated genuinely angered a few people. I apologize for that. It isn’t the right time to pick what stories might not be true. Apologies to those genuinely angered by this. https://t.co/c4pDRQuBWs

My attention has been drawn to the fact that Omojuwa has apologised and deleted the tweet where he said the stories of the #EndSARS campaign were fabricated, I hereby retract my statement of calling him a bastard, I have deleted the tweet too.

Then along came Bisi Alimi this morning to stir the hornet’s nest and that’s how the fight started. See below:
Yesterday, @Omojuwa questioned the integrity of men and women who are licking their wounds from the abuse and brutality of the #SARS team in Nigeria, simply because he has never been a victim. Omojuwa has a voice and he chose to misused it when it matters most. Shame!
— Ashiwaju Bisi Alimi (@bisialimi) December 5, 2017
Bisi, I have spoken loudest and longest against SARS, police brutality and for police reforms than you ever have! Your tweet is a shameless lie because it has zero correlation with what happened. But have fun, if that makes you happy for the day. I am used to your type. Cheers. https://t.co/MFm2sBoC26
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 5, 2017
Some of these so called activists are more obsessed about taking people down than they are about issues. This tweet is shameless, you uncalled for and a total misrepresentation. But I know his type. They use excuses like this to express some other obsession! https://t.co/MFm2sBoC26
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 5, 2017
That is that. I won’t waste my time defending myself at the altar of those obsessed with misrepresenting me and my intentions. The good thing is I know these folks and their ways. Nothing new or different.
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 5, 2017
Bisi retorts
I never spoke about SARS brutality because I have never been a victim since they started. However, that will never make me undermine the pains of others. And to be honest, you are never the source of my happiness nor pain, you are just a Narcissistic living on your ego
— Ashiwaju Bisi Alimi (@bisialimi) December 5, 2017
Omojuwa gets the last word
LOL. At least you are now speaking your mind. No need hiding under the SARS issue. You know you hate this person, time to do it without hiding under a trending topic. Let me know when you are done. https://t.co/9mrSzHF4di
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 5, 2017
People who wait until you have a trending controversial issue to express their deep seated latent hatred are modern day witches and wizards. You don't see the blood in their mouth but the bile, evil and intent are the same in their heart.
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 5, 2017
You cursed 170 million people for years, abused your origin and people just to get another passport, you want to talk about those actually serving that same country? In what sane world?
— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) December 5, 2017
Latent Haters. Forming inactive volcano. LOL. https://t.co/USADgqXrfA

Sometimes, I wish there was a place one could check-in, drop all this 'mentor' 'role model' thing so that one can really say some things the way one really feels them. This prison of expectations is sad.

God made me go through some tough battles as a kid, little did I know I was being prepared for a lifetime. Now I see battles as bread. I grew up thriving over them. You will read about it next year by God's grace.
