US President Donald Trump has dismissed as “fake news” reports by an MSNBC reporter on his tax returns.

On Tuesday, a leaked document by the unnamed reporter claimed Trump paid $38m as tax in 2005.

An official of the White House also confirmed the claim.

Trump, however, on Wednesday dismissed the claim via his Twitter account.

He wrote, “Does anybody really believe that a reporter, who nobody ever heard of, “went to his mailbox” and found my tax returns? @NBCNews FAKE NEWS!”
