Lack of judges postpones Saraki’s fate

Inability to form a quorum by judges, on Tuesday, caused a delay in an appeal filed by President Saraki Bukola.

Saraki had instituted a petition at the Court of Appeal, Abuja, questioning whether the Code of Conduct Tribunal had the jurisdiction to try his case.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Moor Adumien, told the court the hearing could not proceed with only three judges.

“The court is unfortunately encumbered this morning on this appeal because we cannot form a quorum.”

“We had earlier stood the matter down with the expectation that two of our other brother justices could join us but that did not happen.”

“In the light of this, we seek the understanding of parties to adjourn the hearing of the appeal till June 2,” the judge said.
