Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who has been accused of diverting funds meant for arms purchase, will not be alone, when his trial eventually begins.
President Muhammadu Buhari recently ordered that Dasuki should be arrested over his role in the purchase of arms and equipment in the Armed Forces and Defence sector since 2007.
Dasuki’s arrest was ordered based on the recommendation from the report of the investigative committee on arms procurement.
The arms procurement panel had claimed that Dasuki and other service chiefs awarded about N333bn phantom arms contracts.
Reports however, indicate that security agencies, would soon invite some former service chiefs, who were also indicted by the committee, set up by President Buhari.
The indicted service chiefs are expected to be charged, while those untainted by the report may possibly serve as witnesses during the trial of Dasuki and others.
The potential invitees are; ex-naval chiefs, Vice-Admiral Dele Ezeoba, (2010-2013), and Vice Admiral Usman Jubril (2014-2015).
Former Air Force officers that may be invited are; Air Marshal Mohammmed Dikko (2010-2012); Air Marshal Alex Badeh (2012-2013) and Air Marshal Adesola Amosu (2013-2015).
