The Army has revealed that several Boko Haram insurgents were recently arrested in Lagos.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Isidore Edet, disclosed this while speaking to journalists on Monday, while decorating 12 newly promoted officers attached to the division.
Edet revealed that the arrested Boko Haram members were among those fleeing the battlefield in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States.
He said the insurgents were heading to the South to continue their terrorist activities.
Edet reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to ensure the security of lives and property within Lagos and Ogun State, while adding that investigations had commenced into the activities of each Boko Haram member and their connections.
