128 suspected Boko Haram members were released to the Borno state government on Wednesday, September 9.
The detainees, who had been in the custody of the Nigerian Army, were released after it was ascertained that they had no ties with Boko Haram insurgents.
They were released by the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai, to Borno state governor Kashim Shettima, who presented them with clothes and some money.
