A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday upheld the order gotten by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to seal some properties linked to Ekiti Governor, Ayodele Fayose, The Punch reports.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba had on July 20, 2016, granted the anti-graft agency an order of interim forfeiture of the properties for a period of 45 days which lapsed on September 4.
Dimgba gave the order of interim forfeiture on the strength of EFCC’s claim that it was carrying out a criminal investigation into the proceeds used to acquire the properties.
