Controversial actor, Solomon Akiyesi, who was nicknamed “serial husband” last year after the well-publicized scandal involving him and three women, has just bagged a presidential appointment.

YNaija exclusively gathered that the actor was invited to Abuja last week for his inauguration into the presidential campaign team for the 2015 general election.

Confirming the appointment in a chat with YNaija, the actor said, “Yes, a few days I got a call from Abuja that I had been appointed the media and publicity head of the Southern and Northern Goodluck Jonathan PDP Youth support Initiative, I thought it was another of the many fraudulent calls that hit my phone daily. It was when I confirmed the travel details that I became convinced and it became clear that it was not a joke so I went for the inauguration.”

Shedding light on the duties he is expected to perform, the actor said, “I am to co-ordinate all reach out activities of the group, all media reach out and all issues concerning publicity that will capture eligible youths in the catchment areas to complement and add to the anticipated number of other votes coming to Mr. President.”

According to him, the appointment is not political, “it is not a political thing, I’m a communicator and those who trust in that talent of mine want to explore it to better their lot for a fee. I am more of a business man than a politician.”
