Gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Katsina State, Ahmed Kabiru Abdullahi has emphatically declared that ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party “will never rig elections in Katsina State again”.
Abdullahi made the comments, after picking up the Gubernatorial nomination form of the party at the party secretariat in Katsina
According to him, Katsina has suffered serial rigging by the PDP since 2003. He warned that the opposition would block any attempts to rig the elections at the 2015 polls.
“I decided to join this race to bring change on the way things are being run in Katsina state. I represent change and hope for the future generation in the state. When we say APC=CHANGE, I am that Change. I am here. Change is here” Abdullahi said.
The politician assured that if elected governor, he would embark on a pro-active transformation of the state to change the course of its development to impact positively on the living standard of its people, while promising to bring the wealth of experience he acquired during his 13 years of service with Lagos State Government.
Abdullahi also bemoaned the fact that the people of the state are immersed in extreme poverty.
“Look at the dams we have across the state, yet our people are facing poverty. Some of these dams are under-utilised, while some are being deliberately sabotaged. We have to work hard to change the situation. It is a shame that Katsina is being listed among the poorest states in the federation.”
