1. Of all the performances of the night, singer Kcee’s grand entry into the stage stole the show.

He had a set of uniformed drummers perform a popular rhyme that everyone in the hall knew, after which, two uniformed police men including actor cum comedian Saka led him into the stage. Of course, he got the audience screaming for more.

2. Another lovable moment was when hip hop artiste, Oristefemi won his award – Best Street Hip Hop Artiste – of the night.

He just couldn’t hold back the excitement as he went on his kneels to dedicate the award to God – almost all the awardees of the night did – and then recounted how he crashed his new car a few weeks back.

He brought his manager who had a bandage wrapped around his arm as proof that the accident was serious than we though and then….the best part, wait for it….was when he announced that he had been given a brand new car by Billionaire Ayiri Emani, aww!

3. We also loved when Annie Idibia got on stage to receive the ‘Best R & B’ award for her husband, 2face Idibia. As she walked with pride in her sparkling green dress, she was given the title of ‘Queen of the queens of the Nigerian music industry’ by Comedian Bakassi.

4. And yes, we loved when Timi Dakolo got on stage with his wifey, Busola to receive his ‘best vocal performance award’.

Also, his ‘Iyawo mi’ rendition with his wifey was beautiful too, it got peeps ‘aww-ing’ and ‘oh-ing’

5.  Veteran singer, Victor Uwaifo stole the show twice.

The first time, he got into a running exercise with one of the hosts, Basket-mouth.

Although he almost fell off the stage while trying to climb it, but we loved his youthful exuberance.

Also, after picking up his prestigious award, he got on his guitar and performed his hit track ‘Joromi’…it was awesome!

Despite being in the music industry for over 50 years, we are glad he still remains relevant.

6. We also loved when music producer Cobhams gave out his ‘best recording of the year’ award to his best friend Timi Dakolo.

The two buddies actually got on stage with their wives to receive the award and while giving his speech, Cobhams said “I promised to give this award to my paddie of all time, Timi if i won it and here i am fulfilling it’…how sweet!

7. A tribute was given to the late singer Kefee and the other musicians that have died in recent times – Da Grin, Goldie, Mc Loph and Fati Rolling Dollar. Quite a touching moment 🙁

8. Oh wow, we are still basking in the euphoria of having watched the ‘terrific’ performance of the Psquare brothers.

The twin brothers who went home with the last award for the night “special recognition award’ carried everyone along with a medley of all the hit tracks from all their seven albums – from ‘Sole dad’ to  ‘Game is over’, ‘Roll it’, ‘Shekini, ‘Taste-money’ and more.

The crowd went frenzy when Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy joined them on stage in his agbada.

Of all the performances of the night, theirs stood out.
