She also emerged the best graduating student from her secondary school in Abuja.
Helen Peikumo Dickson has made her fatherland proud as she graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Sociology with Specialism in Race and Global Politics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
According to reports, before leaving for the UK, Peikumo studied at the Regent Schools in Abuja where she made a name as one of the best graduating students who had always maintained academic excellence, as she consistently earned top grades right from her first year in school.
According to Peikumo who is planning to proceed for a Master’s degree at the completion of her National Youth Service Scheme; “academic excellence is a minimum standard in our family, hence we are obligated to always graduate at the top of our class.”
Speaking to her uncle; Moses Oruaze Dickson, who also bagged a distinction during his Master of Law ( LLM in International Commercial Law) programme at the University of Bedfordshire, MSc Financial services management, as well as an LLM International Business Law, after bagging his first degree in Law, in Nigeria.
He confirmed Peikumo’s academic achievements within the family. “Getting a master’s degree is the minimum standard for anyone in our family” said Moses, who is currently studying for his Ph.D.
