In celebration of the 4th edition of the Nollywood Week, which is expected to take place in June at the Arlequin cinema, Paris, the organizers of the Nollywood Week Paris Film Festival visited Lagos, Nigeria to announce the movies that were selected for the festival.
Speaking at a private cocktail event hosted at the private residence of the Consul General of France, Laurent Polonceaux, Serge Noukoué, founder of the Paris Nollywood week, noted that “the selection of the movies is harder every year because the quality of the production is increasing.
“A great sign that the industry is heading in the right direction.”
The event was well attended by Nollywood Movie Directors, Actors, Producers, diplomats, investors and French professionals.
Among those whose films were selected for the festival are: Kunle Afolayan (October 1st), Omoni Oboli (First Lady), Biyi Bandele (FIFTY), Moses Inwang (Stalker), Seyi Babatope (Lunch Time Heroes), Walt Taylaur (Gbomo Gbomo Express), Daniel Oriahi (Taxi Driver). Short films selected for the event include: Hex, Prey, Joy, The Encounter, Keko, Ireti and The Good Son.
