Daniel Onjeh, is the candidate of the All Progressive congress (APC) in Benue South Senatorial District, who contested and lost against the former Senate President, David Mark.
Onjeh approached the Election Tribunal to challenge the result, but again he lost, after which he went to the Appeal court to challenge the ruling.
The Appeal Court sitting in Makurdi, Benue state, on Saturday nullified the election and ordered a re-run of the poll within 90 days.

- He started his political career right from his university days. He was a Zonal Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) at the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
2. He was expelled from the University as a result of his activism but later graduated from University of Ghana with a degree in political science and Economics.
3. He was once a programme director with Transparency and anti-corruption campaign in Africa (TRACA).
4. Onjeh served as Executive Director of a non-governmental organisation, Community Centre for Development (CCD), from 2009-2011.
5. In 2008, he left the PDP to join ANPP, where he contested for a senatorial position and lost.
