Having auditioned for Africa’s Next Top Model Cycle 1, Opeyemi Awoyemi was chosen alongside 11 other girls from all over Africa to compete. 7 countries were visited for scouting (Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Angola).

9 girls were eliminated in 8weeks by the panel of judges after different challenges.

Three girls remained in the house Aamito (Uganda), Opeyemi (Nigeria) and Michaela (Angola). The 3 headed to New York to battle it out. In the end, Aamito from Uganda was the chosen one.

Africa’s Next Top Model has given Opeyemi Awoyemi the platform for a fantastic international career and also being the only Nigerian to make the finals gave her so much attention from Nigeria.
