BET Awards: Yemi Alade is pissed off

The 2015 BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theater last night on June 28, 2015 in Los Angeles, California and the event was star-studded as several celebrities stepped out for performances, to receive awards or to simply have a good time.
Hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, the event had quite a number of celebrities including Toolz, Yvonne Nelson, in attendance.
However, African artists  who were nominated for the 2015 BET Awards have been reacting to the humiliation they faced at the event.
The organizers of the event had fixed the African category hours before the main event and had ordered that winning artists from Africa should be handed over their Awards backstage. This, angered majority of African artists and fans who said it was humiliating and insulting to Africans as a whole.

Yemi Alade who was one of the African nominees has however reacted via her Instagram account concerning the alleged humiliation.

She opined that what the event organizers did was shameful and a mockery to the African artists present at the event, wondering why the African category should be held earlier before the main event and why African artists should be told to collect their plaques backstage.

Ghanian superstar, Fuse ODG who was nominated in the Best Pop & alternative category had something to say too.
