Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine and politician, employed Ohimai Amaize, as his Special Assistant in 2011 for his presidential campaign.
Ever since they parted ways, theirs has been a platonic and cordial relationship, especially on Twitter, despite being on opposite sides of the political divide.
Three years later, mentor and mentee had their first public disagreement, a slight spat.
Ohimai, as always preempted things by tweeting, “I will change my name if Buhari becomes President!” and Bob Dee replied, tweeting: “Ihievbe people won’t let you change your name, Walahi”.
Momodu then added, “don’t be so sure unless you’re planning self-exile”, and the self-proclaimed Mr Fix Nigeria retorted: “Sir, a Buhari as President of Nigeria is worse than exile.”
A few more exchanges went on after which Momodu stopped, and Ohimai, carried on with his job – of mudslinging Muhammadu Buhari on Twitter.
“@MrFixNigeria: I will change my name if Buhari becomes President!” Ihievbe people won’t let you change your name, Walahi…

@DeleMomodu Sir, a Buhari as President of Nigeria is worse than exile 🙂

@MrFixNigeria Mandela became President at 75; old age can’t be a cardinal sin! An 88 year old man just became President; it is called wisdom

@DeleMomodu Mandela’s presidency did not polarise South Africa. His presidency was a symbolic healer to South Africa’s wounds!
— Ohimai Godwin Amaize (@MrFixNigeria) December 27, 2014
@MrFixNigeria Your boss has polarised Nigeria more than any soul dead or alive OHIMAI…

I can’t be sure how old was Ohimai when Buhari rule in 1983 but from his explanation I found out that he was a baby which means he never withness the level of descipline, orderliness, and corruption free society Nigerian enjoyed @ that period. I also observed that Ohimai personally don’t like Buhari not on the bases of age but it seems his spirit does not just work with that of Buhari. When Mr Dele Momodu quoted Mandela and another 88yrs old president he snubed their ages and brought another excuse. At this period we need to be fair and sincere in our judgement about what we need and what we want we can’t satisfy our want but we should prioritise our need. What we need now is a leader that is descipline, fearless, incorruptible, with integrity. You don’t have be within a particular age bracket to have these qualities. We should be careful that we don’t get it wrong this time becouse prosperity might not forgive us if we allow our emotion & hatred to overshadow our sense of reasoning. May God bless Nigeria
