The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Edo governorship election, Godwin Obaseki has emerged as winner in the polls.
Obaseki was announced winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer, Kayode Soremekun after polling a total votes of 319,483.
His closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 253,173 votes while the Labour Party and APGA got 182 and 876 votes respectively.
