The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Abubakar Audu has been reported dead.
According to Saharareporters, Audu died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after his victory was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The cause of his death remains unknown at this moment, as people in the streets of Lokoja, are seen whispering in hushed tones, as reality gradually overtakes disbelief.
The Cable, however reports that Audu suffered a stroke at 9am on Sunday and another one later in the day, before he gave up the ghost in the evening.
