Lagos monarch, Oniba of Iba, Oba Goriola Oseni who was abducted by unknown gunmen on June 16 has regained his freedom.
According to Channels Television, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed that the traditional ruler is back in his palace, and the leader of the gang of kidnappers has been arrested by his men.
However, it is unclear if any ransom was paid before he was freed.
The kidnappers had demanded the sum of N40million ransom which the victim’s family members said they could not afford.
